woody: Queen at the BRITs!09 Feb 2005 22:11
Brian and Roger are set to appear on the BRITs25 award ceremony. They have been shortlisted by BBC Radio 2 (for those of you who live in England, what a radio station!) for Best British Song Award with We Are The Champions. They are up against: Joy Division 'Love Will tear Us Apart;' Kate Bush 'Wuthering Heigths'; Robbie Williams 'Angels'; Will Young 'Leave Right Now.'
Some Info for you:
In 1992, Queen won: British Single-These Are The Days Of Our Lives
                    Outstanding Contribution - Freddie Mercury
In 1990, Queen won: Outstanding Contribution- Queen
In 1977, Queen won: British Single-Bohemian Rhapsody
Brian May is also set to present the award for Rock Act I think, not sure. Happens tonight, gets aired tommorrow after editing!
Wish them luck!

Anybody able to record it and mp3 it?

Well they didn't appear at all, apart from Roger appearing in a short clip in the contriubution award for Bob Geldof sayin that Bob will probably two awards. A repeat is on ITV1 tonight, so if any one has the equipment, make sure you are ready, if you want to.
Robbie Williams won with Angels, which the Sun says it shouldn't have because the votes were from all the old granny listeners of Radio 2, and they would go for a heart warming song.

Quite interesting Brian's comment on Brit is at his Soapbox. In general I don't care of those awards and pools or whatever. For me, music is at first place. I don't care what others think about it, the music makes me feel good.
