Marcus Thompson: Piano Music16 Jul 2004 20:34
Hi all you Queen fans,

I am looking for piano transcription for queen songs. I have downloaded the ones from this site and have some that are in Queen's Greatest Hits I and II. If anyone has some or knows where to download them I would greatly appreciate it.

Greetings Marcus Thompson,
Getting piano music for any songs, other than going to a shop and buying annoying versions with the melody added, is quite difficult. You certainly won't find anything resembling an accompaniment (which I think is what you're looking for?) outside this Queen site - I haven't found anything anyway. Even if you go get something like Greatest Hits, the piano parts in there are based around the guitar chords and have the melody added to them so that people don't have to sing it if they don't want to. What I'm trying to say is look around in unlikely places like used book warehouses (if you're in Britain, there's a HUGE one near Bath) and see what you come up with. I have Greatest Hits I, a few bits off this site and some guitar chords from around the place, although tmost of them are slightly useless and need to be transposed into the right key. Even then they're not very accurate. I guess the only thing to do is listen to the songs and play what you hear! Some later Queen wasn't written with a piano in mind anyway, so then you'd have to rely on guitar chords and base an arrangement around them.
Hope that helps...somehow...

Some midi tracks can give you a better idea of the separate parts. I haven`t found any exact Bo Rhap though, it has some "slight" differences with Fred`s part, but it`s good if you don`t want to play strictly the same
